Privacy Policy — Enclave
Effective date: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mohammad Abdulmoneim
(“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with
Enclave (the “App”), an application for Confluence Cloud distributed through the
Atlassian Marketplace.
We built Enclave on a simple principle: your content stays inside your own Atlassian
environment. This policy reflects that.
1. The short version
- Enclave runs entirely on Atlassian’s Forge platform, inside your organization’s
own Atlassian Cloud instance.
- The content the App scans — your Confluence pages and attachments — is never transmitted to
us or to any third party. It is processed within your Atlassian environment and is not sent to
any external server.
- The App does not store the sensitive values it detects. It records only masked previews (for
example, the last four digits of a card number) and metadata such as counts and locations, stored
within your own Atlassian environment.
- We do not sell your data, use it to train AI models, or share it with advertisers. The App
contains no third-party analytics or tracking.
The sections below explain this in full.
2. How the App processes your Confluence content
Enclave scans the Confluence pages and attachments you direct it to, in order to detect sensitive
data (such as personal information, credentials, and financial data). This scanning happens entirely
within your Atlassian Cloud instance, on Atlassian’s Forge platform.
- Your page and attachment content is read, analyzed in memory, and not retained in raw form. It
is not copied to us or to any external system.
- The App stores its findings as masked previews and metadata — detector type,
match counts, page/attachment location, sensitivity classification, and an audit record of actions
taken. These are stored using Atlassian’s Forge storage, within your Atlassian environment.
Raw sensitive values are not stored.
- Because this processing occurs inside your Atlassian instance, we (the developer) do not receive
your Confluence content or the findings the App stores.
3. Information we actually receive
Although your content stays in your environment, we do receive limited information in connection
with distributing and supporting the App:
- License and billing information from the Atlassian Marketplace. When you
install, evaluate, or subscribe to the App, Atlassian provides us with information related to your
subscription — such as your organization or site identifier, billing contact details, subscription
tier and status, and installation and usage counts. Atlassian collects and provides this as part of
operating the Marketplace; see Atlassian’s own privacy policy for how Atlassian handles it.
- Support communications. If you contact us for support, we receive the
information you choose to share (such as your name, email address, and any details or screenshots
you provide). Please avoid including sensitive personal data in support requests.
- Operational logs. The App’s technical logs, available to us through
Atlassian’s Forge tooling, are designed to exclude raw content and raw sensitive values. They
may contain technical identifiers (such as site, page, or account identifiers) and error diagnostics
used to operate and troubleshoot the App.
4. How we use this information
We use the limited information described in Section 3 only to:
- provide, operate, and support the App;
- manage licenses, subscriptions, and billing;
- respond to your support requests;
- diagnose, fix, and improve the App; and
- comply with legal obligations.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use your content or the App’s findings to train machine-learning or AI models.
- We do not transmit your Confluence content outside your Atlassian environment.
- We do not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking in the App.
6. Sharing and sub-processors
- Atlassian. The App runs on Atlassian’s platform, and Atlassian processes
Marketplace, licensing, and billing information as described above.
- We may disclose information if required by law, or to establish or protect our legal rights.
- We use no other third-party sub-processors.
7. Data retention
- Findings, classifications, and audit records created by the App are stored within your Atlassian
environment and are retained until you delete them or uninstall the App, subject to
Atlassian’s data-handling behavior for uninstalled apps.
- License and billing information is retained as long as needed to provide the App and to meet
legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Support communications are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for a
reasonable period afterward.
8. Security
The App is built on Atlassian Forge and relies on Atlassian’s platform security and hosting.
It declares no external network access, and its processing and storage remain within the Atlassian
environment.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the CCPA —
including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to
object to certain processing.
- For personal data within your Confluence instance (including findings the App
stores there), you control this data directly through your Atlassian environment and the App’s
own controls; you can delete findings or uninstall the App at any time.
- For the limited information we hold (Section 3), contact us at
enclave.app.atlassian@gmail.com to exercise
your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
- For information Atlassian holds as part of the Marketplace, please also refer to
Atlassian’s privacy policy.
10. International transfers
We are based in Belgium. Information we receive (Section 3) may be
processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any cross-border transfer of
personal data.
11. Children
The App is a business tool, is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal
data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
effective date above and, where appropriate, through the Marketplace listing or the App.
